Legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has announced that he will be retiring from professional tennis after the current season concludes.
⛦The 38-year-old athlete holds the record for the most victories at Roland Garros, having won 14 titles in the French capital.
Nadal wrote on his social media pages:
Hello everyone. I’m here to let you know that I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially. I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations. It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make. But, in this life, everything has a beginning and an end.
This year marks the first time Nadal will end a season withou💯t any m🌠atch victories at the ATP Tour Finals since 2002.
