Eliud Kipchoge After Shaking Off Olympics Loss: I Will Announce My Next Race in January

Former world record holder Eliud Kipchoge says he is not yet thinking about hanging up his running shoes, despite the disappointment of failing to defend his Olympic Games title in Paris last month. Kipchoge, who turns 40 on the fifth of next month, says he is now planning his next assignment, as he still feels he has strength in his legs.

The two-time Olympic champion was eyeing history in Paris, becoming the first man ever to win three consecutive Olympic marathon titles, but came up short as he had to drop out with 15 km left due to injury. 𓆉

While many have speculated on 🌳whether Kipchoge, regarded as the greatest marathoner of all time, will continue competing, he has exclusively told jeetbuzz59.com that he is not contemplating it yet.

Yes, I am still around. I have not yet decided (on my next race). I am still on the ground trying to weigh in on my options and which rabbit to chase, but by January, I will have decided and will announce where my next race will be. I am okay at the moment; I am doing well, and I am still the same Eliud, working in training and inspiring this generation.

He admits that missing out on the Olympic gold was a heartbreak for him, but notes that he has always been accustomed to the tw❀o eventual results in competition: winning and losing. Kipchoge also told jeetbuzz59.com that he is still goin🧔g strong despite the myriad of negative comments thrown at him.
