Ivan Bannikov, the manager of Russian heavyweight Alexander Volkov, has stated that his client will remain the next title contender despite losing the rematch against Ciryl Gane at UFC 310.

Everyone in the UFC management agrees that Alexander won. The judge, known for her controversial decisions in boxing, left her 'mark' on this story as well. However, we are grateful to the UFC leadership, to Hunter Campbell, to Dana White, and they have informed us that despite this judging robbery against Alexander, Volkov remains the title contender, not Gane.
Recall that in the main card of UFC 310, which took place on December 8 in Las Vegas, Gane and Volkov fought a three-round match, which the judges award☂ed to Gane by split decision.
In the🍌ir first encounter in June 2021 at UFC Fight Night 190, Gane won by unanimous dꦬecision. Volkov now has a record of 38 wins and 10 losses, while Gane has 13 wins and 2 losses.
