American UFC fighter Sean Strickland has reached out to the current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, requesting permission to face the middleweight titleholder Dricus du Plessis. Sean addressed Pereira in a video posted on the YouTube channel of Nina Drama.

Strickland and du Plessis faced each other in the octagon back in Ja��nuary ♑during UFC 297, where Dricus emerged victorious by a split decision.
Du Plessis last fought against Israel Adesanya in August of this year at UFC 𒆙305. In that match, which was stopped in the fourth round, Dricus won by submission, successfully defending his middleweight chaﷺmpionship belt. His record now stands at 22 wins and 2 losses.
Strickland last stepped into the octagon against Paulo Costa in June of this year at UFC 302. This fight went the full distance and concluded with Sean winning♏ by split decision. He currently has a record of 14 wins ෴and 4 losses.
