Korean MMA fighter formerly competing in the UFC's featherweight division, Chan Sung Jung, better known as "The Korean Zombie," has spoken out about a potential return to martial arts.
Lowkick MMA quotes Jung:
My heart and every part of my body says I could totally go fight again. But, I think it’s time for me to acknowledge that as far as MMA goes, I’ll probably not be able to fight again. If I get the opportunity, maybe boxing. You know, a lot of MMA fighters try out boxing, right? So, why not me? Boxing would be fun for me, so, yeah.
Recall, on August 26 at UFC Fight Night 225, Jung lost to Max Holloway by knockout in the third r𝄹ound. In a post-match interview, "The Korean Zombie" announced the end of his career.
Jung, 36, previously stepped into the octagon in April 2022 at UFC 273, losing to Alex Volkanovski by technical knockout in the✱ fourth round. He has 17 wins and eight losses on his record.
