Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou shared his mentality ahead of his upcoming fight against Renan Ferreira, where a special PFL Superfight belt will be on the line.
Ngannou stated, as reported by Bloodyelbow:
We don’t fight names, we fight talent and let me tell you something, this guy has talent, and from all my opponents I think he’s definitely going to be one of my toughest fights, let's just be serious here. For me, as I’m taking it, he’s very serious, I see this fight as the underdog, I feel like the underdog, yeah.
The fight between Ngannou and Ferreira will headline the P🧸FL: Battle of the Giants ev𒆙ent, taking place on October 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Ngannou l🍷ast fought in MMA rules back in January 2022 at UFC 270, where he won against Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision. His record🔯 stands at 17 wins and 3 losses.
Ferreira last entered the cage in February 2024 during a joint event between PFL and Bellator, defeating Ryan Bader by technical knockout in the fir♏st round. He has a record of 13 wins and 3 l𓆉osses.
