Kayla Harrison Reveals “Peeing Blood” a Week Before UFC 307 Fight

Two-time PFL lightweight champion Kayla Harrison admitted that she faced serious challenges leading up to her fight against Catlin Vieira, which took place in the women’s bantamweight division at UFC 307. She shared that she was not in her best shape due to weight cutting.

I had to go to the hospital and I was like peeing blood and there was some stuff going on. I don't like to make excuses, but I definitely wasn't my best inside the cage Saturday night. And I know I can be better and grow from it. I need to take a little bit of time off just because of the weight cut and the process that it is for my body. I’m not built for – I’m just not built to weigh 135 pounds.

It's worth noting that on October 6 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, USA, Harrison won the match againsℱt Viei🦩ra by unanimous decision.

Harri🦂son made her UFC debut in April 2024, defeating Holly Holm by submission in the second roundꦯ. Her record stands at 18 wins and 1 loss.

Vieira last stepped into the octagon in July 2023 at UFC Fight Night 224, where she defeated Pannie Kianzad via unanimous decision, holding a record of 14 victories and 4 los🔜ses.
