BMF title holder and top UFC lightweight American Justin Gaethje has responded to a question about a potential third fight with his compatriot Dustin Poirier.
Gaethje defeated Poirier by knockout in the second round at UFCꦯ 291 on the night of July 30 in a rematch.
Justin Gaethje
In the cage after the fight, I (told Poirier), ‘Hey, man. Let’s both agree to never fight each other again. Unless you have to have it, then I’m here.’ But we’re 1-1, so we’ll see. I would never deny him the opportunity just like he didn’t deny me the opportunity. But I don’t want it to be my next fight.
Recall, the first fight betwee🍃n Poirier an♋d Gaethje, held in April 2018 at UFC on Fox 29, ended with the victory of Dustin by technical knockout in the fourth round.
Poirier has 29 wins and eight losses under h🌳is belt. Gaethj꧅e, 34, has 25 wins and four losses on his record.
