Georgian UFC fighter Merab Davaleeshvili will officially serve as a backup fighter for the bantamweight title fight between Sean O'Malley and Marlon Vera, scheduled for the night of March 10 as part of the UFC 299 event in Miami, USA. This was announced in an interview with MMAJunkie by Merab's manager, Oren Hodak.
O'Malley and Vera first fought in August 2020 at UFC 252. Marlon emerged victorꦛious by technical knockout in the first round. Marlon has 22 wins, eight losses, and one draw in mixed martia🍰l arts. Sean has 17 wins and one loss.
Dvalishvili's last fight was against Henry Cejudo in February 2024 at UFC 298. Merab won that fight by unanimous dec⛎ision. He has 16 wins and four losses to his name.
