UFC bantamweight number one contender Merab Dvalishvili has stated that he did not consume alcohol at a Mexican bar a few weeks prior to his fight with division champion Sean O'Malley.
Dvalishvili wrote in Georgian on social media:
Friends, there is only water in the bottle and cup. I don’t drink at all, especially before a fight.
The bout between Dvalishvili and O'Malley is scheduled for September 15 in Las Vegas, USA, at UFC 306, which will coin⛄cide with Mexico's Indepeꩵndence Day.
Dvalishvili last competed in the octagon in February 2024 at UFC 298, winning a unanimous decision over Henry Cejudo. ﷽He has a record of 17 wins and four losses.
