Dvalishvili and O'Malley Agree to Rematch in March

Former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley announced he is ready to face the current division champion, Merab Dvalishvili, in a rematch scheduled for March 2025.

O'Malley told Ariel Helwani in an interview:

Sean O'Malley
Iā€™m fighting Merab. Merab vs. ā€˜Sugaā€™ 2 is happening. Iā€™m manifesting. I donā€™t give a fā€“-k about anything else. I donā€™t know whatā€™s going on with Umar and Merab. Umar [Nurmagomedov] said heā€™ll fight, that he wants to fight this year, but Merab said he doesnā€™t want to fight this year. Donā€™t fight him. Wait for me. Iā€™ll be ready in March.

Merab Dvaliā„±shvili quickly responded to O'Malley's comments, agreeing to tšŸ—¹he rematch.

Merab Dvalishvili
Letā€™s Go ā€¦. I will try to not kiss you this time.

For context, in September 2024 during UFC 306, Dvalishvili defeated O'Malź¦ley by unšŸ½animous decision, becoming the new bantamweight champion. Dvalishvili holds a record of 18 wins and 4 losses, while O'Malley has 18 wins and 2 losses, with one fight deemed a no contest.
