Cormier - about Shevchenko's defeat at UFC 285: I never thought Valentina would make consistent mistakes

The former UFC champion in two weight categories Daniel Cormier commented on Valentina Shevchenko's defeat from Alexa Grasso in the fight, which took place on March 5 at the UFC 285 tournament.

Remember, Grasso won by choking in the fourth round and won the UFC women's flyweight title.

Daniel Cormier, quoted by Sportskeeda
I never thought I would see Valentina Shevchenko making consistent mistakes. Ultimately, the biggest mistake was trying that spinning back kick from in close. When Grasso saw that spinning kick, which she said she trained for, she jumped on her back like nothing I’ve ever seen before, and she went crazy trying to chase the finish.

Grasso got the opportunity to fight for the title after defeating Brazilian Viviane Araujo in October 2022. Last March, Alexa won by submission over Joanne Wood. Grasso has 16 wins and three losses under her belt. Shevchenko has 23 wins and four losses.
