Russian fighter Askar Askarov published a new post on social media, saying that he asked the UFC to release him from his contract due to his health.

Due to the fact that my return was being delayed, health issues and only one fight remaining under this contract, I asked the UFC to release me. And they agreed. First I should fix my health, and then we'll see about it.
Askarov had his last fight in March of this year in the UFC Columbus tournament against Kai Kara-France. The Russian lost the fight by unanimous decision of the judges. Askarov had 13 wins, one loss and one draw on his record in mixed martial arts.
Previously Askarov was scheduled to fight Brandon Royval at UFC Vegas 62, at night of October 16 in Las Vegas (USA). A few days before the tournament, the Russian withdrew for health reasons.
