Former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane has turned down an offer to lead the Algerian national team, reports L'Equipe.
After the national team failed to make it out of the groupౠ at the Africa Cup of Nations, the previous head coach Djamel Belmadi resigned. The national team management turned to Zidane looking for a new mentor, but he refused.
It should be noted that the famous footballer and coach is familiar with the country, as his parents emigra๊ted from Algeria to Paris in the 50s.
