Uganda national team head coach Paul Put says he can dream of guiding Uganda to next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, after two very impressive results in the first two rounds of qualifiers. The Cranes have picked four points, an away draw against South Africa and a home win against Congo Brazzaville, lifting their hopes.
Put, who has recently𝔍 joined the Ugandan national team says those two results give him confidence that they wil🌳l be in Morocco next year.
We played some really good football in those two games. The game against South Africa could have very easily been three points but we can’t complain. The first two games have given me and my team a really good picture of where we are and I am confident that we can challenge for qualification.
The Cranes play back to back against South Sudan, hosting them in Kampala on October 6 before traveling to Juba for the return fixture four days later. Put says these two matches wil🌜l be crucial in achieving their dream:
If we can get six points from these two matches, we will have a very big advantage. That is the target and I even told the guys, we have to make sure we get these six points and at worse, four. We will have two more matches in November and we want to get there when we are still top
Ugand♎a have missed the last two Cup of Nations, and are keen to make♛ a return.
