Two-time FC Porto Golden Shoe winner Gomes dies at the age of 66

Fernando Gomes, two-time FC Porto Golden Shoe winner and former Portugal striker, passed away at the age of 66. It was announced by the press service of the Portuguese club.

Porto mourns the loss of one of the greatest figures in its history and expresses its deepest condolences to the family, friends and all fans of Gomes.

Gomes scored 355 goals in 452 games for FC Porto and was named the country's top scorer on six occasions. The Golden Shoe was awarded to the striker in 1983 and 1985.
