Tanzania’s national football team head coach Hemed Suleiman has said the team still has a huge chance to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations despite suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of DR Congo.
After three matches, the Tanzanians are on four points, five behind the Congolese who have won three in a row. They host them for the return tie in Dar es Salaam, and Hemed has asked for fans to come out🌟 to support them as they seek a home win.
I believe we still have a good chance of qualification. All is not lost. I want to ask fans to come out in large numbers to give us the support we need. We have a good team and we can achieve this qualification.
The tactician says they have worked to address the weak areas picked out during the first leg match against Congo, and remains confident they have done a good job at it.
It was a 50-50 game and anyone could have won it, but we were punished because of our mistakes. We have worked to address the areas we felt were short. We did not create many scoring chances and that is an area of concern which we have worked on.
The Tanzania coach believes the team has capacity to beat🔯 Congo in Dar es Salaam, despite the latter having a potent and talented squad.
