Szczęsny told Football Espana:
At first I wasn't ready for new challenges but I spoke to my family and friends and they all told me it would be a mistake not to accept this. That's why Robert played a very important role because he was the person who had the idea to convince me.
On October 2, 2024, Szczęsny resumed his career to sign with Barcelona, which was in need of a goalkeeper following the injury to Marc-André ter St𓆏egen. From 2017 to 2024, he played for Juventus.
