Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for Al Nassr and the Portugal national team, has reacted to former Juventus and Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny's transfer to Spanish club Barcelona.
The players met in the tunnel after the UEFA Nations League match 𝐆between Portugal and Poland (1:3). Szczęsny's children took photos with Ronaldo, and the ex-Juventus teammates discussed the goalkeeper's move to the Catalan club.
Ronaldo was quoted by The Sun as saying:
You had to retire (in order) to go to a big club.
On October 2, Barcelona officially announced the signing of the 34-year-old goalk👍eeper, who had previously announced his retirement on August 27. Szczęsny's contract with the Catalan side is valid until the end of Jun♑e 2025. The player’s market value is estimated at six million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
