Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has openly criticized his teammates following the national team’s 0-2 loss to France in the second round of the Nations League.
De Bruyne emphasized that he will not publicly discuss what went 😼wrong, as he has alreadꩲy spoken to the team during halftime. However, he stressed that the national team needs to perform better in every aspect of the game.
De Bruyne stated, as reported by ESPN citing VTM:
If the standard we want to reach is the best, but we're no longer good enough to get to that level, then you have to give everything. If you don't even do that, it's over. I can accept that we're not as good as in 2018. I was the first to see that, but other things are unacceptable.
