Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez, who was recovering from a previous injury, has suffered a new strain to his right thigh muscle during a team training session, as reported on the official website of the Spanish club.
Lopez is expected to spe❀nd approximately another three weeks on the sidelines.
H✃e had already missed international matches with the Spanish national team in the Nations League against Serbia and Switzerland, as well as a La Liga game against Girona on September 15, due to issues with the back of his thigh. His return was initially scheduled for next week.
The 21-year-old Lopez is a graduate of Barcelona's acade⛄my and has played 45 official matches for the team, scoring 11 goals.
In the summer of 2024, he won the European Championship and earned a gol๊d medal at the Summer Olympics in P🐈aris.
