US Grand Prix Organizers Fined €500,000

Organizers of the Austin Grand Prix (USA) have been fined €500,000 by the FIA due to a fan coming onto the track while drivers were returning to the pits after the race ended and the checkered flag had been waved.

Around 200 fans, seated in the grandstand opposit🌱e the starting-finish straight, managed to breach several barriers and enter the track early. Although the drivers had finished the race, they we𝄹re still on their lap to the pit lane. Fans are usually allowed onto the track later to see the awards ceremony.

It has been noted that a part of the fine i💝s suspended since this was the first case of such ꧃a safety violation at the Austin circuit.

For reference, the winner of the US Grand Prix was Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc from Monaco,💖 marking his second victory of the current season. Dutch driver Max Verstappen of Red Bull continues to lead the individual standings,🌼 while McLaren remains at the top of the Constructors' Championship.
