Teofimo Lopez Sr. has spoken out about a potential match between his son, WBO World Champion in the lightweight division Teofimo Lopez, and Terence Crawford.
Lopeš¬z Sr. said in an interā±view with Punch Drunk Boxing:
I donāt think Crawford wants anything to do with my son. His career is going to be over. Thatās how he feels. My son destroying him. [Crawford] thinks heās King Kong. Him losing to my son would be a disgrace. Crawford is scared to death.
š„Lopez's last fight was against Jamaine Ortiz on February 9 in Las Vegas. In this bout, Teofimo secured a victory by unanimous decision. He holds 20 wins (13 by knockout) and one loss in his professional boxing career.
Crawford's most recent figš½ht was against Errol Spence in July 2023. Terence won that fight by technical knockout in the ninth round. He boasts 40 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses on his record.
