Former interim WBC lightweight world champion, American Ryan Garcia said he aims to win a world title in the junior welterweight division.
I’m excited, thank God for this opportunity to showcase my skills again, come back, and hopefully get a title at 140. That’s what I’m gunning for. First I gotta get through Oscar, and I know that’s gonna be a tough task, but we’ve been training hard. If I expect to become a champion, I can’t take any easy fights and think that’s going to get me there.
Garcia will face Duarte in the ring on Boxing Night in San Anton𝄹io, USA, which takes place on the night of December 3🎶 at the Alamodome Arena.
Garcia last fought against Gervonta Davis in April of this year in Las🐻 Vegas. In that confrontation, Ryan was defeated by technical knockout in the seventh round. He has 23 wins (19 by knockout) and one defeat on his record.
