Interim WBO champion and WBA junior middleweight division champion Terence Crawford has chosen not to exercise his right as a mandatory challenger with the World Boxing Organization (WBO) to face the current WBO champion and WBC titleholder Sebastian Fundora.
According to ESPN journalist Mike Coppinger, t꧙he two boxers have mutually agreed to postpone their fight unꦫtil the second half of 2025.

Ahead of tomorrow’s WBO deadline, Terence Crawford and Sebastian Fundora reached a resolution to allow Fundora to proceed with a voluntary defense with the understanding the junior middleweight title unification will be explored afterward, sources told ESPN.
It is worth noting that on August 28, the WBO mandated that the bo👍xers fight, granting them 30 days to agree on terms before proceeding to bidding in accordance with the organization's rules. On September 30, Crawford's attorney requested an additional ten days, to which Fundora's promoter, Sampson Lewkowicz, agreed.
