Ruud Van Nistelrooy Appointed as Leicester City Manager

Pre🥃mier League club Leicester City has announced the appointment of former PSV Eindhove🔥n boss Ruud van Nistelrooy as the successor of Steve Copper in the King Power dugout in a club statement released on Friday.

The Du💖tch manager signed a contract until June 2027 at the King Power Stadium, as the former Manchester United interim boss will replace Steve Cooper in the dugout following the Welsh football manager's termination of contract after just five months.

First-team coach Ben Dawson will take charge of the team against Br🌳entford on Saturday for their Match 13 fixture after taking training this week following Cooper's departure. Ruud's first debut in charge of the Foxes would be against West Ham at the King Power on Tuesday.

Ruud van Nistelrooy's appointment comes just a 🍨few weeks after he left his position as interim head coach at Manchester United, which followed Ruben Amorim's era. During his four-game stint in charge at United, he achieved three wins and one draw, with two of the victories secured against Leice♒ster in both the Premier League and the Carabao Cup.

Leicester will go to the Gtech Stadium on Saturday, sitting ൩16th in the Premier League standings with just one point a🍨bove the relegation zone.
