Legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has announced that he will be retiring from professional tennis after the current season concludes.

The 38-year-old athlete holds the r𒁏ecord for the most vict𝕴ories at Roland Garros, having won 14 titles in the French capital.

Nadal wrote on his social media pages:

Hello everyone. I’m here to let you know that I am ret🦩iring from professional tennis. The reality is that it has been some difficult years, these last two especially. I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations. It is obviously a difficult decision, one tha♏t has taken me some time to make. But, in this life, everything has a beginning and an end.

This y🍌ear marks the first time Nadal will end a season without any match victories at the ATP Tour Finals since 2002.
