Brazilian UFC welterweight Carlos Prates has admitted that he still struggles with nicotine addiction.
Prates shared in an interview with Ariel Helwani:
I started when I was 12, 13 years old. I didn’t do ꧅nothing at school. I enjoyed going to school, but didn’t like to study…I didn’t imagine I would be a professional fighter when I was at school…I smoke maybe 8 per day, up to 10…I tri𝓡ed to stop one time, one week without smoking, and I gained 5 KG in a few days.
Prates last fought against Neil Magny in November of this year at UFC Vegas 100. Carl♊os won that fight by knockout in the first round. His professional mixed martial arts record stands at 21 wins and six losses.
