Current UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has commented on a potential bout against former double UFC champion Conor McGregor.

O'Malley said on the PBD Podcast:

I think I have better skills. I can switch stances, defend well, and I believe I have the best striking in MMA hands down. I think it would have been a competitive fight back when he🙈 was at 145.

O'Malley is set to face Marlon Vera in a rematch on March 10 at UFC 299 in Miami, USA. The first fight betw🔯een these two fighters in August 2020 ended with O'Malley's technical knockout loss in the first round. He holds a record of 17 wins and one loss.

McGregor's last octagon appearance was against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. McGregor lost that fight due to a techni🅠cal knockout caused by a leg fracture. He holds a record of 22 wins and six losses.
