Nate Diaz turns himself in to New Orleans police after arrest warrant issued

Former UFC fighter Nate Diaz was taken into custody on April 27 following an arrest warrant issued Monday by the New Orleans Police Department.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Diaz on second-degree battery charges after a video surfaced last Friday showing the fighter choking a man unconscious. The man was later identi🅠fied as Rodney Petersen Jr. a popular blogger and MMA fighter.

According to police, Diaz arrived at the NYPD Sixth District Precinct with his attorney present. He wil♏l remain in custody until his first court appearance.

Nate voluntarily appeared at the New Orleans Police Depar🅷tment this morning. We are still waiting to see all the evidence and video footage that shows that Nate acted in self-defense.

Diaz is scheꦿduled to have his next fight against famous video blogger Jake Paul. The f✃ight is to be held by boxing rules on August 5 in Dallas, USA.
