Former M-1 champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky provided his insights in an exclusive interview with jeetbuzz59.com about Usman Nurmagomedov’s win over Alexandr Shabliy.
This wasn’t what MMA fans were expecting. Their matchup caused a lot of hype, but what it turned out to be… Shabliy wanted to fight, but he couldn’t. Usman maintained the distance, moved a lot, and avoided escalation. He scored points without exchanging blows. It was a correct tactic, but there was no excitement. Maybe Shabliy would have gone for it, but Nurmagomedov chose not to engage♐ that way. The fight didn’t live up to the audience's expectations. Most likely, Usman's team aimed to secure a 'clean' victory, and they succeeded.
