Russian UFC fighter Magomed Ankalaev said that he isn't going to leave the UFC after a controversial decision of the judges in his fight with Jan Blachowicz of Poland, held on December 11 in Las Vegas at UFC 282.

I want to make something clear. After the fight, I said I didn't want to fight in this city anymore because of the terrible refereeing. I didn't say I didn't want to fight ♌in the UFC. I want to thank Dana White and Mick Maynard for giving me this opportunity. I fought as hard as I could tonight. It's not an excuse, but I had a knee injury. It wasn't my best performance, but I'm sure I won the fight.

The fight between Ankalaev and Blachowicz lasted all five rounds and ended in a draw. Thus, the UFC light heavyweight title remained vacant. Next it will be challenged by Glover Teixeira and Jamahal Hill on January 21 at UFC 283 in Brazil.

Ancalaev faced American Anthony Smith at UFC 277 last July in the Octagon. The fight was stopped in the second round and was won by TKO. He has 17 wins and one defeat on his record. Blachowicz has 29 wins and nine defeats on his record.
