Mauricio Pochettino, the head coach of the U.S. national team, believes that 37-year-old forward Lionel Messi of Argentina and Inter Miami will take part in the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
Pochettino stated to La Nacion:
I have no doubt that Messi will make it to the World Cup🌳. If he wants to play, he will play. He takes care of himself, he’s very professional, it will just be a personal decision. It would be incredible to have him in the World Cup, I hope he decides to play, it would be spectacular for this country and for Argentina.
