Footballer of the American league MLS club Charlotte, a pupil of the London Tottenham FC academy Anton Walkes died at the age of 25 years. It is reported by the press service of Charlotte.
The 25-year-old athlete was killed in a boat wreck. Walkes was found by rescuers in an unconscious state. All attempts to save the player's life were unsuccessful.
Walkes played at the position of central defender. He had played for Charlotte since December 2021. He appeared in 23 games this season. Previously, Walkes played for Atlanta United and Portsmouth.
