Former Polish national team goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny has officially signed with La Liga club Barcelona. The Catalan club announced his arrival on their official website, confirming the transfer from Juventus, where Szczęsny had previously played.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper's contract with Barcelona will run until the end of June 2025. According to the transfer website Transferma𒈔rkt, Szczęsny's market value is es𒁃timated at six million euros.
On September 30, Mundo Deportivo reported that Szczęsny had undergone a medical examination as part of the tr♒ansfer process to Barcelona.
Although🅘 Szczęsny announced his retirement from professional football on August 27, the interest from Barcelona prompted him to reconsider. He expressed a desire to return to the game and participated in negotiations for the transfer.
