Former England star Jamie Redknapp says nobody in the country will mind if Thomas Tuchel can lead England to win trophies. The former Chelsea manager has become the first England manager since Fabio Capello in 2012.
Tuchel is only the third manager in history to be named England manager, following in the footsteps of Sven-Göran Eriksson and Capello. In total, 10 managers were interviewed, but Tuchel, who won the Champions League with Chelsea, was ultimately named th💞e England boss.
Reacting to the appointment shortly after it was confirmed on Wednesday, Redknapp told Telecom Asia that the most important thing is for Tuchel to win trophies, which would make him a legend in England. He said: “I think we have to get behind him now. I was just saying to someone that if he can 🌸get us to win a trophy – maybe the next World Cup – then he will be a legend in this country. So that is the most important thing."
I mean, going forward, the FA will have to look and say that we need to find a way to ensure the next appointment will be an English coach. That is what we have to do. We have got Thomas Tuchel, who is the best we could have got, and we need to support him. I think Erik ten Hag at Manchester United will be delig🌺hted, as he would not want to be one of𒁃 the managers hunting down his job.

Tuchel signed an 18-month 𝕴contract and will not start work until January next yea🌠r. He is expected to help England win their first trophy since 1966, when they hosted and won the World Cup.
