Aleksander Čeferin, the president of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), shared insights about the organization’s non-profit mission.
UEFA's press service quotes Čeferin as saying:
UEFA is not about profit. We redistribute 97% of our net income back into football. Yes, 97%. The rest is used to cover costs and support vital sectors of our sport - women’s, youth, and futsal. And when we earn more money, we give awa⛦y more mo✤ney. Who else does that?
Aleksander Čeferin
Ceferin was elected as the seventh President of UEFA on September 14, 2016. He also automatically became a vice-presiden꧙t of FIFA.
Notably, last year, the organization earned approximately 5.1 billion euros. TV rights were the main s🐠ource of income, amounting to nearly 3.6 billion euros, which represents a 5% increase compared to the previous year.
Moreover,🤪 the UEFA Congress supported amendments൩ to the organization's statutes, allowing the Slovenian president to run for a fourth term.
