Taiwanese boxer Lin Yu-ting has advanced to the finals of the 2024 Olympics in Paris in the women's featherweight category (up to 57 kg) after defeating Turkey's Esra Yildiz.
The matc♋h ended with a unanimous decision, marking a 5-0 victory for Lin. In the final bout, she will face Poland’s Julia Szeremeta, who triumphed over Filipino athlete Nesthy Petecio in the opposite sem🐬ifinal with a score of 4-1.
The final 👍match is set to take place on August 10.
Lin Yu-ting, alongside Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, is one of two participants in the women's boxing tournament at the 2024 Olympics who were previously su🔯spended from the 2023 World Championships due to failing a gender test.
Despite this, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) determineဣd that both athletes met the selection criteria and permitted their participation in the 2024 Games in Paris.
